The benefits for graduates and practices
Mentoring
We will connect all graduates with an external mentor that they can book monthly sessions with throughout the programme.
CPD
Graduates will be enroled in our tailor-made CPD programme, consisting of comprehensive CPD modules and an online course from VetCPD on a topic of the graduate’s choice.
Professional Membership
Graduates will receive a year of BVA or BSAVA membership, a fantastic resource that will provide extra CPD and information to support them in practice.
Support Network
Graduates build friendships and peer group support by connecting with other graduates on the scheme.
Online Case Discussions
We facilitate online case discussion groups led by experienced vets working in first-opinion practice.
VetGDP Advisers
We provide a support network for the VetGDP advisers working within your practice. We meet every few months to discuss mentoring techniques and approaches.
Social Events
Graduates begin and end the programme with our Graduate Get Together, a weekend-long event to connect graduates working in independent practices.
Awareness
We attend careers fairs and events to share job opportunities with upcoming graduates.
